Top notes are Bitter Almond, Cardamom and Bergamot; middle notes are Barley, Cedar and Hay; base notes are Tonka Bean, Vanilla and Amber. Tonka Kumaru by Atelier Materi is a unisex gourmand composition built around the many facets of tonka bean. It opens with luminous notes of bergamot, bitter almond and cardamom, which highlight the nutty, almond-like side of tonka while adding freshness and gentle spice. In the heart, roasted barley, hay absolute and cedar leaf bring a dry, toasted texture that emphasizes the bean’s warmer, more aromatic nuances. In the base, roasted tonka bean takes center stage, enriched by vanilla, amber and soft musks to create a creamy, balsamic and enveloping drydown.
